A logistics and distribution center needed office space for managers and staff, but the warehouse floor was too busy and crowded. Our answer was to build upward. Stizer designed and constructed a two-story in-plant office structure right inside the warehouse, complete with climate control and sound insulation. The first level provided a controlled operations office and meeting room on the ground floor of the warehouse. Above it, a second-level office (accessible by an enclosed staircase) gives managers a bird’s-eye view of the warehouse floor. By utilizing vertical space, the company gained much-needed offices and a supervisory overlook without sacrificing any warehouse storage area. The in-plant office was built using our modular steel framing and insulated panels, installed efficiently over a couple of weekends. Now the distribution center’s team can work comfortably on-site and oversee operations effectively, all within the original building.
